Speakers:

Patrick Filkins is a Research Manager within IDC’s Network Infrastructure group covering IoT and Telecom Networks. Patrick’s research focus includes worldwide coverage of Mobile Network Infrastructure and the rapidly growing 5G ecosystem, including topics such as vRAN, Open RAN, 5G core, SDN/NFV, cloud-native networking, and the evolving Telco Cloud and Carrier MEC segments. In addition, Patrick contributes to IDC’s coverage of the intersection of public cloud and telecom network infrastructure, with a focus on telecom and enterprise network workloads deployed in the cloud. Patrick also leads IDC’s worldwide coverage of the enterprise cellular market, to include Private LTE/5G infrastructure, CBRS, and the LTE/5G router market.

In his additional role covering Edge IoT Infrastructure, he is responsible for market and technology trends, forecasts and competitive analysis related to the IoT network edge infrastructure, gateways, protocol strategies (e.g., 5G/Wi-Fi), including the LPWAN domain (NB-IoT, LTE-M, LoRaWAN, SigFox). While contributing to ongoing forecast and market share updates, he also contributes to custom projects for IDC’s Consulting practice.

Ahmed Moussa is the Managing Director for Solution Architects dedicated to Verizon’s top 26 Global Enterprise customers, the Signature markets, since August 2022. He leads a team of experts who build solutions tailored for our top business customers to both enable their digital transformation journey and achieve immediate business outcomes.

Prior to joining the Verizon Business Group, Ahmed led several technology teams in Verizon Global Network & Technology since 2014. He led the Radio Network Planning group who enabled the first Gigabit wireless network in the US, 5G Ultra Wide-Band, 5G Nationwide, and Internet-Of-Things networks. He also played a key role in aligning network and customer device strategies working with tier 1 telecom infrastructure, handset and chipset OEMs.

Prior to joining Verizon, Ahmed worked for Vodafone in New Zealand and Egypt. He led the team to design the first 4G network in New Zealand in 2013 and optimized wireless voice and data networks since 2004. Ahmed holds a B.Sc. in Electronics and Telecommunications from Ain Shams University in Egypt, and an MBA degree in Marketing and Finance from the American University in Cairo.

Robert (Bob) Wysocki is the Client Solutions Leader for IT Networks and Cybersecurity. His
responsibilities include driving innovation, incubating emerging technologies, and enabling
customers to deploy key digital technologies for rapid business and operational transformation.
Bob is a seasoned IT evangelist with over 30 years of industry experience, gained at Fortune 20 as
well as start-up organizations. During his 16 years at General Electric (GE), as an executive in
Corporate Shared Services IT, he drove strong business results in numerous disciplines of
procurement, product management, engineering, operations, and financial management. Bob led
the initial services definition of infrastructure for GE’s Predix Cloud platform and most recently
played a key role in executing GE’s transformation of Edge Networking to enable their cloud-first
strategy. Before GE, he also led technology and engineering leadership roles at Pilot Network
Services and AT&T, architecting solutions with the commercial value of $1 Billion. A recognized
industry leader, Bob most recently co-chaired the ONUG Hybrid Cloud Working Group for which
he received an award at ONUG Fall 2017 for leading the engagement of Cloud Services and
Container Orchestration Providers to embrace enterprise IT requirements of their services.
Bob graduated from Georgia Tech and holds a Masters in Computer Engineering from the
University of Central Florida.

Anup Patel holds the position of Senior Director of Technical Sales for Enterprise Private Wireless Solutions. In this role, he leads a team of experts dedicated to assisting global enterprises in designing and deploying private wireless networks that align with their business and operational requirements.

With a remarkable career spanning over 25 years in the telecommunications and enterprise networks sector, Anup has consistently demonstrated his expertise. Prior to this role, he served as the head of the Global End-to-End Solutions Architects team, where he played a pivotal role in aiding communication service providers in defining their network transformation and evolution strategies. Additionally, Anup has led business development teams responsible for promoting the Nokia Products and Services portfolio to our CSP customers.

Outside of his professional commitments, Anup resides in Morris County, NJ, with his wife and daughter. His interests include sports, financial markets, reading, and enjoying leisure time at the beach.
