Keynote: How to Drive Modernization and Redesign for Agility and Risk Reduction

Organizations are only as secure as their weakest link. Prevention of cyber risks requires better defenses and architectures. Yet, many enterprises are struggling with implementation of solutions like Zero Trust Architectures. During this panel CISOs and cybersecurity veterans will share their experience in driving cross-organization transformations that require tight collaboration between different parts of the organization. It will discuss how joint design initiatives can enable secure modernization and security management simplification.

As EY Americas Cloud Cybersecurity Leader, Alex focuses on engineering; architectural controls and processes; and security solutions for public cloud, and container platforms.

She holds a PhD, MSc and BSc in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, has multiple patents and is cited in over 30 scientific publications.

Charles Blauner is an internationally recognized expert independent advisor on
Cyber Resiliency, Information Security Risk Management and Data Privacy.
Charles is the President of Cyber Aegis, a boutique cyber risk management
consultancy. Charles is also a Partner and the CISO in Residence at Team8
Ventures, a Venture Advisor at the Cyber Mentor Fund, and an Executive in
Residence at the Partnership for NYC FinTech Lab.

Previously, Charles had a distinguished career working on Information and Cyber
Security for over 30 years, 25 years in Financial Services, including being the Chief
Information Security Officer (CISO) at JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank, and most
recently the Global Head of Information Security at Citi.
During this time, Charles held numerous industry leadership roles including Chair
of the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC), founding Director
of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC), and
the Chair of the OpenGroup’s Security Program.

Charles has worked closely with banking regulators around the world (OCC, FRB,
BoE, MAS, and HKMA) to help reduce the risk posed by cyber threats to the
financial sector at large.

Charles is a regular conference speaker and has had the honor of appearing in
front of US House and Senate committees.

In 2015, Charles was recognized by his peers, winning the Wasserman Award,
which recognizes outstanding career achievement and contribution to the
Information Systems Audit, Control, Security, Risk Management, and/or
Governance professions.

Charles has a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California
(USC) and a B.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI)

Ramin Safai is the Chief information security officer at Point72. For the past 20 years Ramin has worked as an Information technology officer at large banks including: Lehman Brothers, Barclays and Jefferies. Ramin holds degrees in Electronics Engineering, Computer science and an MBA from New York University.

Yabing Wang is the VP and Chief Information Security Officer at Justworks, a tech-forward payroll and PEO company supporting SMB. She has been in the technology world for 25+ years and has 20+ years of extensive leadership experience in cybersecurity across different industries. She has built global security practices and strengthened cyber resilience at multiple fortune 100 companies such as Allstate Insurance Company, Alight Solutions, Carrier Corporation, and H-E-B. Prior to her cyber journey, Yabing had her background in philosophy and computer science, as well as in application development in her early career at Netscape.

Lauren is the VP, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for IFF. She defines the strategy, design, and implementation of all technology, automation, and data initiatives for IFF information security. As a trusted member of the IT leadership team and infosec steering committee, she provides the strategic vision to drive innovation and support IFF’s corporate strategy. Lauren serves on the Retail and Hospitality Information Sharing and Analysis Center (RH-ISAC) Board, Evanta (Gartner) Fortune 1000 CISO Community Governing Body, Security Innovation Network (SINET) Innovation Award Judge, and National Retail Federation (NRF) IT Security Council Executive Committee (Board).
