Ciena Proof of Concept: Ciena Virtualized Edge Solution for Enterprise Cloud 2.0
Enterprises are accelerating digital transformation by integrating edge compute, multi-cloud and IT infrastructure virtualization initiatives. This enables enterprises across industries to become more agile, reduce operational expense and deliver a higher quality customer experience. But selecting the optimal combination of edge devices, cloud-native virtualization infrastructure software stack, orchestration and automation capabilities while avoiding vendor lock-in, can be challenging.
This demonstration will showcase Ciena’s multi-service virtualized solution, that combines enterprise branch edge virtualization with multi-cloud integration and an agile software infrastructure, all running on multi-vendor networking platforms. We will show how Ciena’s solution makes it easy to onboard multiple tenants with centralized management and operational control to support the delivery of network and cloud-based services that accelerate the enterprise path towards Cloud 2.0.
Tushar is a global technology professional with over 20 years of experience in the telco and networking industry. Tushar is currently serving as Product Management Director for Ciena packet products portfolio. He is driving software virtualization and management products and features for Ciena with key focuses on enterprise, mobility, edge compute, cloud integration, SDN/NFV, 5G, access/aggregation strategy and products. Tushar’s career spans across product management, engineering, and customer support. He has previously held various senior product management and engineering positions with Cisco, Ericsson, Tellabs, Nortel, and various startups. Tushar holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering (electronics and telecommunications) and post graduate diploma in advanced software design and development. He also holds industry certifications, including certified scrum master and Stanford project management.
