Dual appointments bring security innovation and financial enterprise infrastructure expertise to ONUG 

NEW YORK – August 4, 2021 – ONUG, the voice of the Global 2000, today announced the appointment of Shannon Lietz, vice president of Vulnerability Labs at Adobe, to the ONUG board as co-chair alongside Nick Lippis and Ernest Leffner, co-founders of ONUG. Further, Yesim Akdeniz, managing director of architecture, technology and engineering at Citigroup, is being appointed to the ONUG board.

In addition to her new role as co-chair, Lietz will also lead the Advisory Board and community of ONUG, LLC. 

“Shannon Lietz has played an integral role in the development of DevSecOps, security transformation and change management in large environments over the last two decades,” said Nick Lippis, co-founder and co-chairman of ONUG. “We’re excited to welcome Shannon as co-chairperson on the ONUG board and leverage her insights and expertise in the industry to further advance the ONUG community.” 

“Yesim Akdeniz’s experience on private and public cloud infrastructure is indispensable to ONUG,” Lippis continued. “Her insights and direction will further ONUG’s Enterprise Cloud 2.0 initiatives to create the connective tissue between on- and off-premises infrastructure.” 

At Citigroup for more than two decades, Akdeniz has been a sought-after and active thought leader during ONUG collaborations. 

Prior to her current positions at Adobe and ONUG, Lietz worked for several Fortune 500 companies, most recently as DevSecOps Leader for Intuit.
