Broadcom enhanced its analytic capabilities in the latest release of the DX NetOps network monitoring software that now enables network operations teams to reliably deliver applications experiences over SD-WAN technologies built on Silver Peak, VMware VeloCloud, Cisco Meraki, Nokia Nuage and 128 Technology.
Enhanced application-aware optimization technology allows enterprises to centralize real-time application monitoring across their multi-vendor SD-WAN deployments in a unified view that includes existing multi-vendor network devices, infrastructure layers and applications.
Working closely with SD-WAN solution vendors such as Silver Peak, Broadcom is able to provide industry leading network monitoring software workflows which are standardized across heterogeneous SD-WAN providers. Leveraging flexible data models, multi-persona use cases, and dynamic visualization frameworks, operations and SD-WAN teams have deep visibility into the health and performance of SD-WAN environments including multi-tenant and multi-vendor solutions; all within a single set of views and simplified workflows. Broadcom’s relationships with SD-WAN vendors also enables us to provide key metrics normalized across disparate vendors while ensuring visibility into vendor specific metrics and architectures. Unifying fault, topology, performance, and flow across our network monitoring software brings end-to-end visibility within a unified portal and empowers network operations to solve problems across a wide range of technologies including SD-WAN.
The recent acquisitions of Silver Peak (HP) and 128 Technologies (Juniper) validates that Broadcom continues to invest in and develop their monitoring strategies for the most popular modern network technologies that the enterprise and service provides look for to advance their network transformation success.
“Silver Peak is proud to partner with Broadcom to help joint enterprise and service provider customers deliver the highest quality of experience to their users across Unity EdgeConnect ™ SD-WAN edge platform deployments,” said Fraser Street, vice president, technical alliances at Silver Peak. “We recognize that customers rely on multi-cloud, multi-vendor environments and see the value of the DX NetOps unified and highly-scalable operations monitoring solution to extend the value of the WAN to ensure a superior customer experience.”
“SD-WAN technology offers many interesting benefits, from reducing our spend on MPLS bandwidth, providing more flexibility for network connectivity, and ensuring an optimal user experience when accessing applications over the network or from cloud-hosted services,” said Clint McMurray, network engineer, Network Voice Infrastructure Services, Fujitsu. “As an existing DX NetOps customer, we see the value in easily extending our monitoring solution to SD-WAN, so we can actually realize these benefits without having to install and learn another tool.”
With the rise of modern architectures required to support digital business initiatives, it is imperative that enterprises and service providers have comprehensive network monitoring software visibility coupled with AI and machine learning capabilities to truly understand application behavior and optimize their SD-WAN investments.
