The Missing Layer in Enterprise AI: Mobile Infrastructure for the Autonomous Edge – Highway 9 Networks Triple-T

Fall 2026

As enterprise AI moves beyond centralized data centers and into real-world environments, networking requirements change dramatically. Mobile robots, sensors, industrial systems, and distributed AI agents require always-on, secure, low-latency connectivity that legacy wireless approaches often cannot deliver. In this Triple-T session, Allwyn Sequeira, CEO of Highway 9 Networks, will explain why AI-native mobile infrastructure is becoming the missing layer in enterprise AI strategy. Attendees will learn how private 5G, mobile cloud architecture, and edge AI can work together to support autonomous operations, enable IT/OT convergence, and provide a resilient foundation for real-time inferencing at the edge. The session will share practical architectural guidance and deployment lessons for enterprise teams building toward scalable, connected, AI-driven operations.
Key Takeaways:
-Why legacy wireless breaks under mobile robots, sensors, and distributed AI agents — and what AI-native mobile infrastructure needs to guarantee instead
-How private 5G, mobile cloud, and edge AI work together to support IT/OT convergence and real-time inferencing
-Practical deployment lessons for enterprise teams building toward scalable, AI-driven operations

Speakers:

Allwyn Sequeira is the CEO of Highway 9 Networks. A serial entrepreneur, he
previously served as SVP/GM at VMware, leading multiple business lines and new
ventures. He played a pivotal role in developing and delivering VMware NSX
vSphere, the industry’s first software-defined networking (SDN) solution, which grew
to over $2 billion in revenue.
At VMware, Allwyn also led vCloud Air, overseeing development, product
management, IaaS platform and service delivery, cloud operations, and customer
success. He later spearheaded the development of HCX, the industry’s first hybrid
cloud migration and inter-networking service, which enabled seamless connectivity
between VMware, enterprises, and public clouds. His work contributed to the
creation of Telco Cloud Automation and Infrastructure—the world’s first platform
integrating 5G containerized network functions—selected by DISH as its 5G
platform. Earlier in his career, he co-founded First Virtual Corporation (FVC) and
served as EVP of Products and Operations through its IPO and growth.
