As large corporations looks to scale up their public cloud consumption, new methods for wide area networking are needed. Traffic patterns and latency requirements have shifted thanks to users accessing SaaS, corporate applications and cloud hosted applications. To connect a data center into multiple cloud providers, many options are available such as Middle Mile, Exchanges, peering arrangements, SASE overlays etc. Many need to control security and performance, thus they don’t want to use the internet for this direct connection into multiple cloud providers. In this session we explore how you can connect into multi cloud providers?

Speakers:

Guruprasad Ramamoorthy is the, Global Head of Network Architecture, Engineering & Operations and Site Lead for S&P Global India. He has been with the company since 2017 and is a hands-on technology executive with a unique blend of Product Development, Digital Infrastructure, End User Computing and Cybersecurity experience. Mr. Guruprasad is responsible for plan-build-run  functions of our global network that spans across 80+ global offices, 20+ Data Centers and 4+ multi-cloud environments. He also leads various enterprise wide initiatives to rapidly transform our infrastructure to software-defined, re-imagine the edge and strengthen the cybersecurity.

In the last two years, Mr. Guruprasad was responsible for building S&P Global’s Technology center of excellence in India from ground-up while attracting the best talent in the region. The site in India (Hyderabad) accommodates more than 1000+ associates and is purpose-built to facilitate innovation by providing employees with access to latest technologies and infrastructure, as well as physical spaces that enable highly collaborative teams.

Mr. Guruprasad represents the company’s commitment to develop talent to deliver new insights, accelerate the speed of operations and value delivery for our customers while establishing S&P Global as the most innovative company. To achieve this, he works closely with the global leaders to enable S&P Global’s product and systems with the help of 1000 + technology associates.

Mr. Guruprasad has about 18 years of experience. He was previously associated with companies such as Visa, BNY Mellon and Sify Technologies. He completed his Master’s in Business Administration from Madurai Kamaraj University and holds a Bachelor’s in Technology from Anna University.

 

Evan Marks is a 36 year veteran of the IT industry, and currently works  at Raytheon Technologies, where he leads Platform Architecture and Digital Transformation initiatives. In addition to his role at RTX, Evan also volunteers as chairman of the Town of Simsbury’s Technology Task Force, and serves on the leadership team  of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Student of the Year program.  Evan is the co-author of the book “Solaris Solutions for System Administrators”  Prior to Raytheon Technologies, Evan has held leadership roles in Financial Services and Insurance industries.   In his limited spare time, Evan enjoys walking, hiking, and spending time with his family.

Brian is responsible for the Services, Advisory, and Field Technical Functions in World Wide
Technology’s Eastern Operations.
Most recently Brian was responsible for transforming and leading global technical operations,
engineering, and architecture for a large UK Based Global Pharmaceutical as part of their Digital
Transformation across Operating Model, Agile Transformation, Infrastructure modernization, Cyber
Uplift, Hosting and Cloud Transformation, End User Experience, Service Management, and FinOPs
Agile Funding Executive team,
As a Client he also led JPMorganChase’s Global Network Engineering and Operations teams, where
his teams successfully deployed an industry leading private fiber WAN and drove a major global
refresh and insourcing effort.
At Cisco Systems, Brian led the global sales and field engineering teams serving their largest clients
and launched the Server Entry into those clients, also acting in the role of Corporate Engineering
Liaison for all Data Center Products.
Brian’s diverse experience and exposure as an executive in large tech companies, founder and
leader of startup Tech and MedTech Device companies, advisor to multiple VC Tech companies, and
as a non-profit Board member, has provided a unique view of the entire tech landscape including the
funding, business, and operational vectors.
A father of 2, avid musician, former marathon runner turned cyclist, reader, and boating enthusiast,
Brian and his wife Mary, reside in the Cleveland Ohio Metro Area.

In 2008, Greg joined Cigna’s Technology Leadership Program and has since held numerous technical leadership positions.  In 2018, Greg joined Cigna’s Cloud Center of Enablement leading the Cloud Network Engineering team where he is responsible for hybrid connectivity and core cloud networking.

Greg earned advanced degrees from Drexel University and Villanova University and currently resides in South Jersey with his family.
