Customer Zero: A Private AI Journey – Digital Realty Triple-T
As Digital Realty’s own “Customer Zero,” we are applying AI internally to understand firsthand what enterprises need to build, operate, and scale AI successfully. In this session, Travis Ewert, Global Head of Platform Development, shares lessons learned from deploying private AI infrastructure across our global data center platform, adopting spec-driven AI development, and balancing private and public AI resources through a “build the base, rent the spike” strategy. Attendees will gain practical insight into the data center, connectivity, and infrastructure requirements that underpin enterprise AI, as well as the emergence of the AI Exchange, where compute, data, connectivity, and control come together to support AI at scale.
Travis Ewert joined Digital Realty in 2023 as Global Head of Platform Development. He has oversight of core PlatformDIGITAL® development and global responsibilities for product engineering, network architecture and engineering, network SW development, network security, colo/whitespace design and planning, and Digital Realty’s platform-AI pursuits.
Travis has over 25 years of product and technology development experience and senior executive roles with several global service providers. These include TW Telecom, Level 3, and CenturyLink. He has played an integral part in the development and introduction of many industry firsts for network-on-demand, programmable networking, personalized (AI-driven) CX, and broader that are now leveraged by large network operators and suppliers across the globe.
