IBM Proof of Concept: What If Multicloud Networks Put the Needs of Applications First?

Spring 2023

Enterprises are adopting hybrid multicloud architectures with applications and data assets spread across public, private and edge clouds. However, IT teams are challenged with deploying, managing, connecting and securing disparate architectures. These drastic shifts in the needs of applications and users are not addressable with traditional models of networking, including earlier generations of SDN, leading to increased pressure on CloudOps teams.

In this session, you’ll learn how by reimagining connectivity from an application context, IT can solve the above challenges and enable self-service connectivity for DevOps, with overarching policy control from CloudOps. With this approach, IT can seamlessly integrate connectivity provisioning as an additional step in the CI/CD pipeline, enabling DevOps to imagine network as another cloud resource. The result is simple, secured, scalable, and seamless application-level connectivity across any on-prem, edge or cloud environment.
