Redefining Scale: Ethernet Networking for AI – Industry Keynote

Fall 2025

As AI models grow in complexity and scale, building AI clusters demands a reimagining of compute, memory, and I/O architectures to support fast, flexible, and recursive reasoning. This evolution is no longer confined to a single rack or even a single data center—it spans across entire geographies, interconnecting hundreds of thousands of XPUs.

Meeting these unprecedented demands requires a next-generation networking fabric that can:

  • Scale up within and across a few racks, seamlessly connecting a hundred to thousands of XPUs;
  • Scale out across entire data centers in a flat, high-performance topology
  • Scale across geographically distributed data centers, creating globally unified AI fabrics

In this keynote, Broadcom will showcase:

  • Key innovations that unlock this scale—powered by open, standards-based Ethernet;
  • The latest advancements in the Ethernet ecosystem to support Scale-up and Scale-out architecture, including product roadmap highlights for in-rack, inter-rack, and inter-DC connectivity.
Speakers:

Hasan Siraj is Head of Software Products and Ecosystem at Broadcom, where he oversees software product management across the company’s networking portfolio—including Tomahawk, Trident, and Jericho—and leads product strategy for Broadcom’s AI NIC solutions. He drives Broadcom’s open networking and open-source strategy, working closely with hyperscalers, enterprises, service providers, OEMs, and ODMs to build a thriving software ecosystem around Broadcom silicon. Hasan is also facilitating the build-out of some of the world’s largest AI infrastructure deployments and expanding Broadcom’s merchant silicon into adjacent markets through strategic partnerships and new go-to-market models. Prior to Broadcom, he led Cisco’s Enterprise Routing and Switching teams. He holds a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from The Wharton School.
