Design, Build and Test an OCP AI Network with Industry Leading Performance
In less than 90 days, FarmGPU built a new AI cloud service powered by open networking solutions from Celestica and Hedgehog. This session will showcase how open hardware and software from the Open Compute Project (OCP) ecosystem can deliver enterprise-grade AI infrastructure at cloud scale. Speakers will share test results comparing FarmGPU’s OCP-based AI network against proprietary benchmarks, including Infiniband, across common AI workloads. Attendees will also hear how OCP members Celestica, Hedgehog, and FarmGPU are driving innovation in open networking—from hardware design to open-source software—proving that open infrastructure is ready for AI at scale.
Marc Austin is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Hedgehog. Marc is a fox who knows many things and a hedgehog who knows one big thing. As a Hedgehog he knows that millions of cloud operations teams will use Hedgehog AI networks to train and fine tune AI models for inference at the data edge. As a fox he knows many things from his experience leading mass-scale automation strategy at Cisco, Internet of Things networking at Jasper, digital media delivery at Amazon, mobile application development founding Canvas, the birth of smartphones at AT&T, early mobile ride sharing founding Mobiquity, internet search at Infoseek, e-commerce at Internet Shopping Network and leading people through adversity in the United States Army.
Matt is the Sr. Director of Product and Solution Marketing in Celestica’s Platform Solutions group, where
he leads portfolio strategy and go-to-market. Matt is a 25-year+ veteran in the IT industry with extensive
experience in cloud, enterprise, and telecom. Matt previously held senior Product Management and
Marketing roles at Edgecore Networks, Extreme Networks, and Enablence Technologies.
Jonmichael (JM) is a storage and AI expert, and sustainability leader. JM is currently the CEO of FarmGPU, an AI infrastructure company which hosts a decentralized cloud for AI on-demand compute and storage.
