James Glover is Director of Product Line Management at Ciena. He leads a team focused on IP Strategy and Execution, Evolution of Ciena’s Service Aware Operating System (SAOS) and delivery of Distributed NFV Infrastructure (D-NFVI) products. Applying market knowledge and technical expertise in networking software, 4G/5G Radio Access Networking (RAN), open computing, application programming interfaces (API), network functions virtualization (NFV), software defined networking (SDN), and lifecycle service orchestration (LSO). Enhancing the customer experience to provide networking and compute services.

He has over 25 years of experience in the networking and telecommunications industries. Prior to Ciena, James worked at Ericsson for 9 years, both in Europe and North America. He has held various positions in the networking space at Redback Networks, HP, and Fujitsu.

 James holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from San Jose State University and is currently based in San Jose, California.
