Motti Finkelstein is the CTO for the Americas and global head of Strategy and Planning for Citi Architecture and Technology Engineering (CATE). Global Strategy and Planning is responsible for corporate development of infrastructure capabilities, such as Service Now, CMDB, Citi Marketplace infrastructure. He lead’s the strategy and architecture for Citi’s cloud both for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) as well as Platform as a Service (PaaS). He also actively drives innovation agenda by liaising with Citi’s global innovation labs, vendor engagements, infrastructure labs, and creating and ensuring the execution of key initiatives across infrastructure engineering.
Motti helped create a culture of innovation and agility in the areas of Hybrid Cloud, Cloud, Big Data, Software Defined Data Centers, Robotics Process Automation and User Experience. His primary focus continues to be to improve business capabilities by developing a cohesive, secure, reliable, scalable, flexible, cost efficient solution architecture and approaches across the organization. He has continuously leveraged cutting-edge technology to create a competitive advantage, helped develop global platforms for operational consistency, cost reduction, enhanced system reliability, better customer experience, all while adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements.
Prior to joining Citi, Motti was the CIO at Versaware, an ePublishing company, and as a Director in the Department of Technology and Telecommunications of the City of NY. His responsibilities included multi-million dollar data center migrations and consolidations, Database Technologies, DR, Facilities, and Communications. Prior to that Motti was responsible for the Infrastructure in the computer unit of the Israeli Air Force.
Mr. Finkelstein holds a Bachelor of Tech. & App. Sciences in Computer Software Engineering. He also holds an M.B.A. in International Business from the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College.
