The concept of the AI Blueprint is to capture the essential elements of AI deployment—data, infrastructure, and algorithms—while highlighting the importance of a strategic plan for achieving successful outcomes. In this session we will discuss each area and discuss the solutions, eco-partners, and the value for the these layers.

Speakers:

Ray Mota, Ph.D., responsible for the Carrier Strategy & Infrastructure ServicesandSD-WAN Service, brings a talent for complex technical and critical thinking and provides strategic direction, sharp analysis, and expert advice on networking issues, specializing in design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Prior to founding ACG Research Dr. Mota worked for Aberdeen Group, ManageAll, Micros-To-Mainframes, Advanced Technology Group, Eastman Kodak and the IRS. As a CTO, he designed, implemented and supported complex trading floor systems and large WAN Frame Relay and ATM networks. He also provided training on Sniffer, HP Advisor protocol analysis tools, and MPLS architectures. Ray has also developed cloud applications and has a software patent attributed to him.

Ray is recognized as an expert in topics relating to networks, managed services, operational efficiency, and business modeling. He has been the keynote speaker for global telecom events. His insightful commentaries and analyses have been published in The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Bloomberg, Telecom Magazine, MSNBC, CNN Money, Forbes, Fortune, Businessweek, NY Times, SF Chronicle, and other industry publications.

On the personal side, Ray holds 13 amateur baseball World Series titles and has coached at the Arizona Diamondback Training Center and the Phoenix Prospectors a professional baseball team which won the championship on 2012 & 2013. His successful baseball career inspired him to write Maximum Ability, (Lulu.Com, 2005), which focuses on mind power and using the cognitive abilities involved in sports to achieve excellence in not only the athletic arena but also in business fields and in other aspects of a person’s life. Ray donates 100 percent of the proceeds to Motavation Group, which organizes sporting events for sick children, (http://www.lulu.com/content/110670). In October 2000, HispanicBusiness.com selected Ray, with other notables Sammy Sosa of the Chicago Cubs and Alex Rodriguez of the Texas Rangers, as one of the top 100 most influential Hispanics in the United States.

Chris Buggie is a seasoned technology leader with over 20 years of experience in telecommunications. As the Director of Core Application, Infrastructure & Cloud at Virgin Media O2, he oversees the company’s technology  infrastructure, cloud-based solutions, and core applications across IT, Telco, and Public Cloud domains. Chris is recognized for his expertise in network engineering, cloud computing, and data centre operations. He leads the development of the 5G Datacenter core application & infrastructure and drives the adoption of cloud technologies with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Victor is the founder and CEO of automation company EGA Tech where he combines his extensive experience in IT automation and a passion for developing African tech talent to enable a more cost-effective acceleration of automation projects and AI-driven learning for blue-chip customers.

Victor has more than 25 years of experience in senior IT industry roles, focusing on automation for the last eight years. Victor has worked with large organisations including Atos, British Airways, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Iberia, MoJ, Red Hat/IBM, Telefonica, United Nations, and VocaLink. Victor also developed and supplied applications as part of technical consultancy that are still being used in core systems by some of the world’s foremost communications companies. The applications have saved organisations a minimum of £100 million in CAPEX/OPEX.

Victor has a BSc (Hons) in Business Systems Modelling, a Masters of Law degree (LLM), and is currently working towards a PhD in Information Systems and Law with a strong understanding of IP and contract law. Victor has published more than 35 books as part of his Amazon bestselling Big Little Book series on IT platforms, DevOps tools and languages.

 

Simon Dumbleton is an accomplished technology leader with extensive expertise across the Service Provider ecosystem, spanning vendors, communication service providers (CSPs), and systems integrators. With a solid engineering foundation, Simon’s career encompasses a diverse array of disciplines, including architecture, product management, business development, and transformational initiatives, underscored by several patent filings.

Simon spearheaded the establishment of the Telco Cloud team at Telefónica UK (now VMO2), where he first partnered with WWT as a valued customer. In his recent role at Capgemini, Simon led cutting-edge technology initiatives such as 5G network slicing, public safety networks, and deploying AI at the edge on low-power devices.

A passionate technologist with an insatiable drive for continuous learning, Simon is committed to sharing the innovative knowledge and capabilities WWT cultivates within its customer base and extensive partner ecosystem. His current focus includes enabling customers to navigate the journey from developing AI based ideas and tools in the public cloud to be repatriated and deployed at scale within secure on-premises environments.
